Rio Linda Preparatory Academy is beginning Hybrid Learning Tuesday, April 6th 2021!
 
Attached below are the bell schedules for the remainder of the school year beginning April 6th. Please make sure to double check your students Cohort group (this information can be located on AERIES or by contacting the school) to make sure you know what days they will be on campus (or if they are opting to stay in distance learning the rest of the year.)

SCHOOL & CLASSROOM SAFETY

What are the daily protocols parents should follow before sending their child(ren) to school?
Parents should review the daily health screening for each student before sending them to school. 
 
How will I be notified if there is a COVID case in the school?
Parents will receive a letter from the school notifying them if there is a COVID case.
 
What precautions will be taken throughout the school day?
All classrooms will have hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, soap, and disposable masks.
 
What is the required procedure for students being screened while in the building? How often? Will there be training for teachers?
Students will not be screened in the building. However, teachers will be trained on how to identify symptoms and what precautions and steps to take.
 
What will happen if a student has symptoms while at school?
If a student develops COVID symptoms at school, they will be referred to the school nurse. If the nurse thinks the student may have COVID symptoms, they will be placed in the Wellness Room to await their parent/guardian’s arrival.
 
How will classrooms be arranged to promote safety?
Desks will be placed 6 feet apart in classrooms to provide adequate distancing between students. 
 
Are students expected to wear masks all day?
Yes, students will be expected to wear masks in the classrooms and around campus.
 
How will learning be on Wednesdays?
On Wednesday mornings, students will engage in small group instruction via Zoom.  Students will work independently to complete assignments in Google Classroom.

ARRIVAL, DISMISSAL, & VISITOR PROTOCOLS

ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
- Parents must remain in the vehicle at all times.
-Late arriving students will need to check-in at the main office. 
 
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
- Parents must remain in the vehicle at all times. 
- Students who walk must leave campus immediately. 
 -Late Pickup students will remain with school administration until a parent/guardian arrives.

In accordance with Twin Rivers policy, starting the week of March 22, 2021:

- Visitors are allowed in the office by appointment only.
- Visitors may not enter the actual campus.
- Visitors to the office will be screened for COVID symptoms, including a touchless temperature check.
- Visitors to the office must wear a face covering.
