Back to school Letter, August 2026

Back to school Letter, August 2026

Dear RLPA Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful summer.
I am truly honored and excited to return to Rio Linda Preparatory Academy Middle School as your Principal after
proudly serving as your Vice Principal for the past three years. During that time, I have had the privilege of building
relationships with our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Together, we have celebrated
successes, overcome challenges, and continued to build a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and
inspired to succeed.

As we begin this new chapter together, I remain committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning
environment where every student can thrive. I look forward to partnering with our families as we continue to build on the
great work already happening at RLPA.

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 18. Our start time is 8:00 a.m. Students will start school at the same time
every day and will be released two hours early on Wednesdays (Early Release Wednesdays) for staff Professional
Learning Time (PLT).

Attendance is extremely important. Instruction begins promptly, so please make sure your child arrives on time and ready
to learn. If you have questions, call (916) 566-2720. Please leave your name, number and message. Our office is now open
from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You can also find information about our school on our website at https://rlpa.trusd.net

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I am honored to serve this amazing community and look forward to
